Today's special report

Is China running out of people?

Peak cheap labor

Is China running out of people?

No, but they are running out of what one seemed like an endless supply of cheap labor.

Also, like Japan and the US before it, China is reaching a critical demographic point.

Remember that "one child" policy?

It made a lot of sense - if you didn't think it through.

Now the delicate balance of old vs young is heading to an "out of whack" state where there are less young workers supporting more retirees.

This demographic imbalance is what sunk Japan and is now sinking the US and Europe.

China is next in line and it's happening a lot sooner than most people expect.
