When gold prices go down, mines close

How the bear markets end in the mining sector.

If you have extreme patience, this might be a good time to look at gold exploration companies.

Why?

The low price of gold is causing exploration companies to stop prospecting and developing (while they still take investor money.)

Supply destruction.

At some point, the small handful of companies that have actually looked for and found metals are going to be in hot demand.

But note the qualification: extreme patience. It still make take years, but the market is beat down pretty good now and that's the time to go shopping.
