Conscience speaks at last

A rare voice of sanity from a former Big Bank insider.

The word "former" is key here.

Weill is retired. He's got his money. Therefore he feels he can speak the truth.

People who are part of the system - including the airheads on CNBC - can't even think this, let alone say it publically.

Weill makes the excellent point - without saying so in so many words - that the US financial system is being destroyed from within by a combination of stupidity, greed and arrogance...and that's very bad for the future prospects of the US.

This would be a point you'd expect to hear form from presidents and presidential candidates too expect for the fact they're as bought and sold as the empty suited talking heads who host the financial news networks.
