Featuring Richard Martin

Big Bank chicanery and government corruption aside, the roots of our economic problems probably go deeper than we realize.

On the one hand, I think Richard's a little too grim when he talks about a "multi-century" period of economic Dark Ages.

On the other hand, we probably dramatically underestimate the extent of the wind that has been on our sails for the last century and a half.

We probably also overestimate how productive we've been since 1970.

I don't know about a "multi-century" Dark Age, but I do think most people can't envision the extent of the reset we're facing.
