Whole cable channels are devoted to "financial news."

Yet the fundamental story of our time - that the financial system has been hijacked by a coalition of government and Wall Street crooks - is not being told.

Instead, CNBS and Fox Dizzyness etc. drone on and on about Apple and NetFlix and other deck chairs on the Titanic.

Here's the truly scary thing...If it weren't for Rolling Stone Magazine's independent existence and their support of Matt Taibbi's research, this level of detailed info would not be getting out to the public.

Nothing is certain, but the potential Crash that all this chicanery has made what I believe to be inevitable could well make 2008 look like a mild hiccup and might even make the 1930s look mild. Imagine a financial "levee failure" ala New Orleans 2005 taking place everywhere in the country at the same time.

I don't see how we can have uncontrolled fraud on this scale we have today without dire consequences.
