Cash extraction, influence peddling, bribe distribution

If you're talking about cash extraction (taxation), influence peddling (selling the country out to the highest bidder, and bribe distribution (see items #1 and #2), the government works like a well oiled machine.

As for everything else, it doesn't work for shit.

This fact has ECONOMIC consequences.

A city and state and federal government that can't get some of its most productive members back to work after a natural catastrophe is showing signs of terminal corruption.
